I have been slipping!!

I know I haven't been here for a while, but I have definitely been busy. But not with scrapbooking, just with family. Sometimes wehave to take a break and get our family affairs in order,so thats what I have been doing. This weekend I get to go to my yearly weekend scrapbooking retreat in Okemos,Michigan. And this time itis going to even more fun because i get to take one of my good friends that also sell CTMH products with me, this will be first time going with me.So I won't be by myself, not that I feel awkward when I go, but it's always special when somebody you know goes with you. I also just got some of the new products from the Summer 2009 CTMH Idea Book and they totally look better in person, so don't forget to go take a look at the new one in May 1, 2009.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Today is a day of newness, HE IS RISEN, i got up this morning and we to church with my family, very happy. Our church had a Easter Program this morning and it was delightful to see all those that celebrate the ressurection of Christ who died for us and rose again on this day. So we must be thankful that Christ loved us so must that he gave his life for us so that we may live today. Remember to day is a day of renewness, so lets be glad.

I was thinking about a simple project for Mother's Day, so I pulled out my CTMH Reflections 6x6 layouts, and here's what I made, hope you enjoy.

Card Kit & Holder

Here are some card kits and holders i did tonight, I really enjoyed creating these because they were so easy to do,special thanks to Vicki Wizniuk and Dana Kessler who let me lift their templates. I think this will be my project for my first clas at my church in which I look forward to starting real soon. Enjoy.

Monthly Workshop Layouts

Here are the layouts I will be doing for my monthly workshops this month, I am letting them choose which one they want to do just in case any of them may not have children. i will charge $10 andthem they have the option of getting therest of the paper pack to create more for $15 more. I think they will like that.

It's My Birthday!!! And i am Thankful

Today I turn 39 years young. lol. So far I don't have anything major planned. I am just thankful to be alive, I am just thankful these days for everything. I am thankful for my husband who is my strength and accepts me through my good and bads. I am thankful for my children who although they make me so angry at times, I still love them very much. I am also thankful for my granddaughter, who through her eyes I see myself and her mother when she was little. I am greatful for my friends and family who love me unconditionally. Today i will be greatful for another day to celebrate life.

God Heard my Prayers!!

Before I tell you what happened, I want to thank a special friend of mine that has a blog and has inspired me a whole lot. Her Name is Lanette Weatherspoon, and she gave me so much inspiration when I met het on here, she was talking about how she has a group of ladies at her church that get together once a month and they make cards. I said to myself how awesome is that , she has a place that she can get togetther with others and do what she does. And how great that her church loves the fellowship that it brings. At the time that I met her, I belonged to another church and I had pitched this idea to them before, but to no avail, they did not receive it, so I put it out of my mind that I could reach out to my women at the church I belonged to then. But I still prayed for God to give me an avenue to reach his people through what I had a passion for. And thus we come to today, recently I rejoined my previous church that I belonged to in 2004, New Hope Baptist Church, and that is where some of my in-laws go, so I know alot of people there. So last Sunday, my mother-in-law says to me that I needed to talk to the lady incharge of the womens ministry to see if I could start a scrapbooking night. I was very hesitant to do that, but I stepped out of faith and I asked her if I could set up an appointment with her to show some of my work. She said sure, so I set up the appointment for today, She then told me that I would be meeting with the Director of Operations, who makes all of the decisions about what can be apporved and what can't. So I took some of my work and she loved IT right from the start. The first thing she said was, "let's start as soon as possible", she then told me that she is going to have me come in on the nights the women meet to set up when we would meet monthly. I said ok, and then she also said she wants me to start one for the children's ministry. Now as of that point, I was so overwhelmed, I didn't know what to do. All I could say was look at God work. She was so excited that she called my pastor in the room and told him and he even got excited too.I left there today feeling so good about where God is taking my ministry.I'll keep you updated. Just pray that God continues to use me for his Glory.
